Every merchant in Texas must display their business permit. Instructions for Web merchants have been rather vague to date, but I am displaying my Texas "Sales and Use Permit" just the same. By current state law, I am obliged to collect Texas sales tax from Texas buyers. My Elvenwork OrderForm automatically adds the tax to your invoice total if you order from within the state of Texas.

If you order from outside the state or outside the USA, no Texas or US sales taxes currently apply

For Texas residents:

  1. Sales taxes collected by me are reported and transferred annually to the Texas Comptroller of Public Accounts
  2. Current sales taxes applied is based on Caldwell County tax rate of 6.75% of purchase price
  3. For residents wishing to exempt state sales tax under their own Taxpayer Number, please refer to Rule 3.312(a)(4) of the Texas code
